Science, education, the arts, business development and management, law, agriculture, sports, writing, psychology, computer technology, history, medicine, linguistics, public health, social sciences, early childhood, economics, tourism, women's issues, non-profit development? (Tell us what we're missing....) If so... What Knowledge and Practices Can You Share? What's New In Your Field? What Are the Behind-the-Scenes Realities? Any advice? Most Important, Can you spare a few hours during your next trip home to speak about these issues to interested groups in your field? The Half-A-Day Project is designed to give experts and professionals an opportunity to Bring the Knowledge Home, in speaking engagements arranged to coincide with vacations back to Serbia, Montenegro and Republic of Srpska. How It Works: *Evokako is currently gathering a list of Serbian and Montenegrian professionals who are interested in participating in the Half-A-Day Project. We are especially focusing our efforts on the upcoming summer. *We will match volunteer speakers with schools, community groups, professional organizations, and NGOs who wish to host those with useful experience abroad. *Once we make the match, we will put the two parties in contact with one another so that they can arrange a suitable time and perhaps discuss topics. Please, click HERE to answer our questionaire Possible Scenarios of Your Visit: After leisurely drinking coffee with a friend on the patio of your favorite restaurant in Belgrade, you head towards the University of Belgrade's College of Sciences. There you meet a group of students and professors from the Department of Meteorology and spend an hour talking about your research at a US University.....Then, you spend a little time answering their questions and - that's it. You're done. You can do the same at any of the universities in the country and on any subject. The place is Budva, Montenegro and you talk to a group of tourist developers about your experience working for The Ritz Hotel or a resort in Aruba. Or you're a stock broker talking to economics students in Novi Sad or MBA students in Belgrade. You're a programer in a big software company and you meet with Vranje's association of young wanna-be future Bill Gates....Or you talk to other programers about what it means to work for a big corporation. You're a fashion designer in New York, making your way up....You can talk to students about the pros and cons of that career and what the fashion world is really about. Or you're a violinist talking about your experience of playing in a foreign orchestra You're a kindergarten teacher in Germany or Australia and you particularly like the way kindergartens are run there. So, you meet with teachers in kindergartens in Valjevo/Smederevo/Subotica/etc. Well, we hope you get the idea.....
